History of Romero Sheet
Metal, Inc.:
Romero Sheet Metal, Inc. is a
family owned and operated business
that is three generations strong. It
was established in November of 1986
by its founder Rivers J. Romero.
Rivers, aka Tony, served in the U.S.
Navy during WWII. After the war, he
returned home where he worked as a
welder for a short period of time.
He then went to work for United
Sheet Metal in Lafayette, LA. where
he became the General Supervisor for
the company. In 1974, he moved to
Baton Rouge to open another branch
of the company. In 1986, he started
his own sheet metal business, Romero
Sheet Metal Inc., and after 22 years
retired.
The company is now owned and
operated by his son-in-law, Michael
Guidry Sr., and his daughter, Jody
Romero Guidry. Both have worked with
Tony in the industry for 35 years.
Also working for the company is
third generation Michael Guidry Jr.,
and son-in-law to Michael Sr.,
Stephen Womack. Michael Jr. has a
Industrial Technology Degree from
Southeastern Louisiana University,
and Stephen attended LSU as a
Construction Management Major.
To this day, the company
continues to operate and grow with
family owned values, ethics, and
quality workmanship.
